The Weekend That Felt Longer.

There is a certain freedom in being somewhere that asks very little of you. At One & Only Mandarina, the day can begin above the rainforest and end at the water. A wooden terrace opens into the trees. A path disappears into green.  The beach arrives almost unexpectedly, with dark rock underfoot and the Pacific stretching far beyond it.

This couple seemed to understand that instinctively. There was no particular reason to hurry. They laughed. Walked. Ran. Stopped. Found each other again.

Sometimes the distance between them filled the frame; sometimes there was barely any. A shoulder against a shoulder. Two hands joined while crossing the sand.  A kiss beside the rocks. Their reflection caught in glass. The kind of gestures that happen when two people have stopped thinking about being photographed.

That was the interesting part.
