This session felt quiet from the very beginning. Not because there was little happening, but because everything moved with intention. The light through the curtains, the slow pace of the morning, the familiar comfort of home — it all became part of the photographs naturally.
Years ago, I had the opportunity to document Ivonne and Arturo’s wedding. Being invited back into their lives during such a different chapter carries a kind of meaning that is difficult to describe. There is already trust in the room. Less pressure. Less performance. Everything flows differently when people no longer feel like clients, but familiar faces you have shared important moments with before.
Ivonne mentioned that while searching for maternity photographers in Puerto Vallarta, many of the portfolios she found did not fully connect with the kind of imagery they envisioned for this season of their lives. Instead of following something overly produced or expected, they decided to create something quieter, more personal, and more honest to who they are together.
We photographed the session in the comfort of their home here in Puerto Vallarta, moving slowly through spaces that felt meaningful to them. The time never became important. We simply allowed the morning, the light, and the emotion of the moment to shape the photographs naturally.
What I love most about this session is how clean everything felt — emotionally and visually. Nothing forced. Nothing excessive. Just a meaningful pause before their world changes completely with the arrival of their baby boy.
Sessions like this remind me that maternity photography does not always need grand locations or elaborate concepts. Sometimes the most intimate stories already exist exactly where life is quietly unfolding.
